Non-fiction
I like writing non-fiction as much as fiction, and specialise in readable, engaging histories for the general reader.
I am currently working on a series of guidebooks for the Royal Collection Trust as well as a popular history of Windsor (all forthcoming, 2018)

Project Editing
I work as a freelance project editor for illusrated books, a wonderful job that allows me behind the scenes in some fascinating organisations. As project editor, I liaise with authors and edit text, and work closely with photographers and designers. It is a role that requires tact and efficiency as well as a feel for design and a keen editorial eye, and involves copy-editing and proofreading.
If you need someone to keep close control of book project, or to work on smaller copy-editing projects, please contact me on pamela@pamelahartshorne.com
Completed projects include:
- The Great East Window of York Minster – forthcoming 2018
- The Royal Grammar School, Guildford: An Illustrated History – forthcoming 2018
